Its amusing, well paced, heart-felt, real but with a touch of the magical, and absolutely on point when it comes to portraying the juggle between inner and outer worlds that women today are /5(). I liked ALMOST LOST well-enough, though I felt that I couldn't quite connect with the people in the book.

ALMOST LOST was about a 15 year-old boy that fell into a deep depression, then ran away. The story follows his recovery by transcribing the therapy sessions that he has with Beatrice Sparks, Ph.D., while incorporating some narrative aspects /5.

Any book about Japan or private school is a win for me, so My Almost Flawless Tokyo Dream Life by Rachel Cohn was an instant must-read. The book is both entertaining and emotional, and the main character is likeable. I especially loved reading the descriptions of Tokyo.
